The large Castle built around the year 1100, was born as "CASTRUM" to defend the city of Perugia. The "EREMO" Tower was built as a tower to defend the only non-panoramic side of the castle, therefore most vulnerable to any possible attacks. In the year 1600 the tower was transformed by De Rubeis into "CASINO DI CACCIA", which was added onto the original construction of the two towers. For three generations it belonged to the Antonelli family, which renovated the entire complex. It is currently a holiday area for lovers of history, nature and tranquillity and for those who want to abandon themselves in a suggestive and outdated atmosphere.
